Bret Crowther and Lloyd Audsley Appointed

The Gold Coast-based Ingles Group has appointed leading property identity Bret Crowther as a development manager.

Mr Crowther was previously the project manager for the construction of more than 10 Jack Nicholas designed golf courses around the globe. These included projects in Japan, the Phillipines, Mexico, Spain and New Zealand.

Part of his new role with the Ingles Group will be to oversee the construction of the long awaited golf course at the Tee Trees Estate at Arundel. The construction of the golf course has been delayed as the Ingles Group awaiting final approvals from the Gold Coast City Council.

Ingles Group managing director Graeme Ingles said Mr Crowther’s appointment demonstrated the company’s commitment to developing a superior quality golf course for the residents of the Tee Trees Estate.

Mr Crowther is no stranger to the Gold Coast, having been heavily involved in the property industry in the region before heading overseas to further his career. Gold Coast projects Mr Crowther has previously been involved include the Grand Mariner, the luxury, pink and purple, 44-storey apartment tower that dominates the skyline at Paradise Waters.

The Ingles Group, whilst primarily a developer of residential communities, now owns three high-rise development sites on the Gold Coast and is weighing up plans to make its high-rise debut in the future.

Urban planner Lloyd Audsley has joined the Ingles Group. The University of New England and Queensland University of Technology-educated planner has returned to the Gold Coast after a two-year stint in England.

Whilst in the UK Mr Audsley oversaw an urban rejuvenation project in Tottenham. The project entailed the development of a neighbourhood resource centre and the rejuvenation of the public spaces in the area.

In Australia Mr Audsley previously worked with Delfin Lend Lease on its Woodlands Estate at Beenleigh.

The former Gold Coast City Council town planner will work on Ingles Group’s larger masterplanned communities such as the $500 million, 850-dwelling, Big Sky residential community at Coomera and a 400 home estate on the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong.

Mr Audsley said he would also be involved in evaluating sites as potential acquisitions for the Ingles Group.

``The acquisitions is something I haven’t really been heavily involved with before so I am really looking forward to it,’’ said Mr Audsley.

``I think it’s an exciting time to joining the Ingles Group because it is clear that the company is growing and going from strength to strength..’’
